We are pleased to announce that Dr. Małgorzata Kubiak from the Center for Cellular Immunotherapy at SGGW in Warsaw has been awarded the prestigious PRELUDIUM 22 grant from the National Science Center (NCN). Her innovative project, “Studying the impact of hypoxia on the metabolism of exogenous ferritin and its role in regulating free iron in macrophages and cancer cells,” has received funding of 70,000 PLN. This year, NCN supported 407 projects under the OPUS 25 and PRELUDIUM 22 competitions, awarding a total of 338 million PLN. This significant achievement in Dr. Kubiak’s career will allow her to deepen research into hypoxia mechanisms and their impact on cellular metabolism.
